Make Friends at Our Rare Breed FARM PARK

Come to our on site rare breed farm and meet the friendly fellows at Farm Park. We have Alpacas, Highland Cattle, Manx Loaghtan Sheep and the most adorable Pygmy Goats and their babies!

ALPACAS

Alpacas originally came for South America, they are smaller and friendlier than Lama (and spit a lot less!) Their fur is hypoallergenic, and is even fire and water resistent. Some people keep Alpacas to scare away foxes from their livestock.

HIGHLAND CATTLE

Highlands are the oldest registered breed of cattle in the world. They originated in Scotland, with bulls (male) weighing up to 800kg, and cows (female) weighing up to 500kg. Despite their size and slightly intimidating horns, they are actually a very friendly and docile breed.

MANX LOAGHTAN SHEEP

An ancient and rare breed of sheep, native to the Isle of Man. They always come in "moorit," shades of brown and can have two, four or even six horns. There are less than 1,500 registered breeding females and the breed is considered "at risk."

PYGMY GOATS

Pygmy Goats originated in the Cameroon region of South Africa. They are friendly and curious creatures and excellent escape artists! They don't like to live alone. They don't shed their horns so their age can be found by counting their growth rings.
